Froats

We use several types of floats for this method, such as small balled shape floats, lying floats (a kind of waggler), or wagglers.
However, I use wagglers which are self-standing type attached a bit of light lead at the bottom.

The required quality of floats for this method is following.

  • Appropriate weight using easily.
  • Conspicuous and long top.
  • sensitiveness.
  • durability.

Touya-uki , at left image, is satisfied with these requirements in goods on the market.

The floats made by myself are following

Materials; reed

Total length; approx. 55cm

Diameter of body; approx. 5mm

Top length; 20-25cm(a special top that has a high level of visibility)

Buoyancy(possible load); 3B-No.0.8

Loaded weight; No.0.5-0.8

My float has a slim body and a high sensitive - loaded float. Then it has good balance that is able to catch up with a dango very well, even against wind.
